We work with many families and colleagues to promote racial equity, and have compiled a list of resources* for reference. We make frequent updates to this list as we find additional material to share.

Racial Equity Resources

As a part of our commitment to becoming an anti-racist organization, each edition of ECIN’s newsletters also includes a few educational resources for adults and children that are focused on undoing racism.

We encourage you to spend time on a regular basis learning more about both the historical context of racism, and the current experience and impact of racism in today’s world. We also encourage each of you, and especially our White colleagues, to continually learn more about how you can be actively anti-racist, and make a personal commitment to action.

Early Childhood Innovation Network

The Early Childhood Innovation Network (ECIN) is a local collaborative of health and education providers, community-based organizations, researchers, and advocates promoting resilience in families and children from pregnancy through age 5 in Washington, DC. During this critical period of brain development, children are deeply affected by their experiences and environment. ECIN’s approach affirms the tremendous opportunity to promote and ensure healthy development of young children.
